Teach in China – An Unforgettable Experience

Teaching in China is wonderful!I met my first foreign teacher in my life after entering college. She is Arlene, her first time to teach in China, and a kind, energetic and hilarious woman.

In class, she helped us improve our oral English with funny activity. We really like to attend her class. At the end of every term, she always invited us to her home to see films together. Arlene was so kind that we had a lot of fun together.

But not all the experiences were happy. Actually, there was one thing that made Arlene angry. It was one of our final exams. Arlene gave our monitor several topics one week before our exam. She said it was an easy exam and let us to prepare for it. We thought it was an easy one and did not take it seriously. Our monitor did not show us the topics neither did we ask for them. As a result, what we talked had nothing to do with our exam, which made Arlene really angry to teach in China. Arlene was so kind and she did not let us fail the exam. On the contrary, she told us the principle of being a student that is to take everything seriously.

It was an unforgettable and meaningful experience in my life. It taught me how to be a qualified student. I learnt a lot from Arlene while she was teach in China. It is unbelievable the experience that a foreign teacher had in my life. This is something that I will never, ever forget and I hope more teachers could come to China to share their life. It seems as though this situation will be carried further into my college life and future as well. I thank Arlene and all teachers in China for helping me throughout my student life. A valuable lesson to teach in China.
